Frequently Asked Questions

What are the days and hours that the zoo is open?
The G.W. Zoo is open 365 days a year and the animals are on exhibit all year round. The animal park hours of operation are based upon Daylight Savings Time dates each year. When we "spring forward", the park is open from 9:00am to 7:00pm. When we "fall back", zoo hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

What is the admission price to visit the G.W. Zoo?
General Admission to the G.W. Zoo is $10.00 for children (ages 2 - 17). Adult admission is $15.00 and children 2 and younger are free. Our daily and weekend Guided Tour pricing varies. Tour descriptions and pricing can be viewed on the Admission page.

Is there a way to buy tickets in advance?
Yes, zoo admission tickets for all tours, Self-Guided and Staff Guided, can be purchased online from our website. Visit our Admission page for tour desciptions, pricing and Buy Now options.

Does the G.W. Zoo offer any discounted admissions for schools or other groups?
Yes the animal park offers several zoo admission discounts. For more information on what type entrance admission discounts we offer, please go to the Visit the G.W. Zoo page or call (405) 665-5197.

Can I host a birthday party for my child at the zoo?
Yes. Children and adults alike can enjoy a festive celebration. We offer Party Decks which overlook animal enclosures, and can supply the cake, drinks, decorative animal plates and cups. Do you offer behind-the-scenes tours?
The zoo offers behind-the-scenes fun train tour with one of the park's most awesome staff. You'll get closer to any tiger or other animal than you ever will again in your lifetime. Call (405) 665-5197 to book your tour today!

How do I get to the Zoo?
The Garold Wayne Interactive Zoological Park is located in Oklahoma, just off I-35 between Ardmore and Pauls Valley at Exit 64. For driving instructions, visit the Directions and Maps page on our website.

Do you have strollers or wheelchairs?
Yes. We have both strollers and wheel chairs available on a "first come, first served" basis.

Does the Zoo accept donations for the animas or the park?
Yes. The Garold Wayne Interactive Zooloigal Park operates as a non-profit organization solely on donations and zoo sponsors. You may make a donation or become a sponsor at the time of your visit, just let the cashier know. We also accept donations (both one time and reoccurring) on our website through Paypal. Visit our G.W. Zoo Support Options page for more information on how you can help. Also all Gift Shop purchases and online purchases at our Tiger King Online Shop, benefit the zoo to help with the animal and park upkeep.

Are dogs or other pets allowed in the Zoo?
No. For the safety of your animal as well as the Zoo residents, pets are not permitted in the Zoo. We welcome trained service animals (such as dogs and miniature horses) needed for a physical disability.

What is the best time of day to visit?
Animals tend to be most active and visitor attendance tends to be lowest early in the morning and just prior to closing. School group visits are popular each morning March through May. This is a great time to visit if you enjoy the excitement and energy of youngsters exploring their Zoo.

Although we try to address as many questions as possible on our website, there may be a few we have missed. For any questions that are not on the website, please visit the Contact Us page and we will try to answer it directly or put the answer on the FAQ page as soon as possible.
